History Bee? AWESOME

Soooo pumped there is a middle school history bee on right now. I mean…it is AWESOME to see young adults still using their brains! They know so much information it is unreal! However, it is sad that myself, husband, and our friend are sitting around watching it for an hour or so….that is how much people no longer show their intelligence. If they do its to be a doctor or engineer but how many people actually know the stuff? (ok doctors know what to do…..but by the time they are doctors they are older right?) This is so amazing! Now, some of you may say these kids probably do nothing but study history and kids should live-which I firmly agree with. However, they enjoy this! They love the knowledge- it is like a big hunt. Also-I am sure they jump rope and write in chalk they probably just skip out on TV and flirting at the age of 10 which is disgusting anyway. KNOWLEDGE KNOWLEDGE KNOWLEDGE! I love this.

Men Can Stop Rape’s new College Bystander Intervention campaign.

Actual good anti rape campaign posters! They don’t shame victims, they ask people to examine their own actions and inactions and protect their friends. And not in a gross excuse for chivalry either, just as people keeping people safe.

I like this.

Yep I agree. I also like how it’s not tying a man taking action around rape to some imaginary alpha male/hypermasculine sort of thing. Like a real man would do such and such.

Also none of these guys are crying about being friendzoned or thinking anyone owes them shit.

I know I’ve reblogged these before, and I will continue to do so because they are awesome.

How Special....

Good Week <3

It has been ages since I have had a good week…not a week that is just going in circles but remains happy….but a good one. I got to see my niece and 2 nephews, got to bring my youngest nephew home for 2-3 weeks (nothing like hanging out with a 1 year old), got to see my husband (which sounds strange but we both have trips to take this summer before we move to base), got to see my parents and in-laws, relaxed, husband got a side job to do while we wait to move, planted a garden, learned to ride a 4-wheeler, painted flower poiints with the man!, and got my second passing score for Ohio! On my way to being certified…1 more test to take in July!

**Feeling very relaxed and ready for the end of July to get here**

Well. When you get your first “big girl job” you shop…correct? Well, I got a teaching job, and had no summer clothes, soooo I mean I had to go all out??? Bye bye 150 bucks :( it was nice to know you…however, a lot of clothes! I do love marshalls for their sales
